This little gallery exists to celebrate ordinary moments.

Every piece began as a moment of curiosity. A plant catching the light, a strange idea, a question, a quiet afternoon, or simply the joy of making something with my own hands.

Each artwork is displayed with its own gallery card. Selecting a card reveals more about the piece: what inspired it, how it came to be, and any stories hidden within it. If a piece speaks to you, prints are also available.

More than anything, I hope this gallery encourages you to slow down and play attention.

The world is full of remarkable things that often go unnoticed. Art has a way of helping us notice again.

You don’t have to create masterpieces for your creativity to matter. You can sketch your favorite characters, paint from imagination, copy the masters to learn, photograph a flower, or simply make something because your hands wanted to. The act of creating has value long before anyone else sees it.

Green Growin’ Cowgirl

A mannequin in a cowgirl hat, hidden in the midst of pots and plants. Almost as if she is growing among them and began to grow floral patterns on her fabric to fit in as she continued to get lost ever deeper in an urban plant shop.

Lost in Reflection

Sketching a chair while sitting in it’s pair, its back legs getting lost behind a mirrored side table. Surrounded by plants by all sides, only two made it into view. Would you sit in this chair and risk your hair getting caught in the greenery behind it?

Hidden in the Café
Graphite

Waiting for my tea to cool, avoiding eye contact with the dust bunnies hidden behind a wall of plants and a couch with coffee stains from the clumsy college students who flocked to this industrial two-story coffee shop. A beautiful forgotten corner, hidden away from most, except me, in the exact spot I was sitting, happily giving it attention it so longed for.

Molten Innocence

This painting began as an experiment with pink on a photobook cover. Letting go of any sort of plan or expectations, the pink melted across the page, black and white later joined it and ever so carefully stole the focus. A curious pair of geese snuck in to take a peek and have yet to leave.

Lantern Grove

What happens when you leave behind a lantern in a grove? Does a firefly take up residence within it and help the lantern to fulfill its purpose? Do the plants claim ownership and wrap around it until it disappears forever?

Held Too Tight

Inspired by a famous painting and reimagined in the abstract, a mother draped in blue holds onto her pure child. Reaching out to explore what the world has to offer but not being able to. When is it time to let go?

Caught in the Creek
Watercolor

Dog in tow, a nearby creek I like to visit, a wide range of emotions appear. This piece captures them all when I look at it, and yet also something completely neutral. I found many things caught in this creek; perhaps a piece of my heart is still there.

Ground View
Watercolor

Most would focus on the flowers’ faces, but if you were small, that is not how you would see them. Would your favorite flower still be your favorite from a ground view?

Ripened Sky
Watercolor

Originally this piece was focused on the bold, round reds and shine of the cherries. So perfectly ripe, you could eat one right then and there, but then the blue came in just as bold and ripe. I want to reach for it just as much.
